Since 2003, with the supervision of a bunch of experts, I focused my attention on two types of wine: the Sangiovese Superiore Riserva and the Albana Passito. I am very proud of the acknowledgements my wines have received both at home and abroad. The Sangiovese was the first wine from Romagna to get the DOC on July 9th, 1967 and is by far the best known wine from this region which, together with Tuscany, is this vine birthplace. Bissoni’s Sangiovese Superiore Riserva is a full bodied red wine aged a minimum of two years and refined in French oak barrels (barriques) for 14 months.

The Albana was the first Italian white wine to achieve the DOCG status in 1987. My Albana is solely made in the “passito” version; the grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis cinerea) are left to dry on the vines and hand harvested when they reach optimal ripeness. Several pickings are needed to pick each grape at the right time.

Thanks for visiting my site; I wish you will be stirred by my story and my wines.
